Celebrations: I Love a Rainy Day

Eddie Rabbit may love a rainy night
but I love a rainy day,

Which is why I am celebrating today's weather.
Discover. Play. Build.

This is the view outside my house.

Today's rain is giving me permission to work inside my house,
which honestly needs some attention.

I plan to:
 de-decorate my tree;

put the clothes back into my dresser -
they somehow threw themselves out onto the floor
in a lemming-type fashion
while I was looking for a specific white shirt;

go through the Mock Caldecott ballots form 1st and 2nd graders;

and, re-shelve books that have been actively read
during the past month.

In the writing of this post, the weather has just changed from rain, to rain and snow, to snow!

It's now noon. It's a plan. We'll see how it goes!

What are you celebrating today?

  1. SO much to do and celebrate in spite of - and because of the rainy day! For me it is a snowy day and I soon hope to tackle the dust bunnies and clothes on the floor!

  2. I was ready with my celebrations until I read your post! I think I now need to add one more to my list: celebrate by de/un-decorating my tree this weekend! Thank for celebrating and giving me a reminder of what I need to do!

  3. Love your video and your reminders. I hope you don't have to put away those outside Christmas lights yet. That can wait for a clear day!

    1. Thanks, Julieanne! The outside lights will last another week at least. They help cut through the darkness of January.
