Hello? Hello?

You haven't have you?

I hope you are still here!

School starts this week and I am exercising my posting muscles. They're a bit rusty, but I will be back up and writing in no time.

I haven't been blogging, but I have been busy!

I've mainly been reading, and I can say with confidence that it is going to be another great year for readers. There are seven more days until students arrive and I cannot wait to share these books with them! Stay tuned for projects and more.

I've also been reading for my work as a member of the Schneider Family Book Award Jury. I am honored, proud, and excited to be serving in this role. We've got some good work ahead of us.

How else did I spend my summer?
I followed my passions (beyond reading).

I spent time on beaches and in old dumping areas exploring history.
Like this Duraline Grindley Hotel Ware Co England piece of pottery. I am still trying to date how old it might be.

I found this perfectly preserved concentrated OJ container from the 1930s.

I found this 1930's PAD-L-JAR, P & H Chicago #6 Canning Jar.

I chased the light through my camera lens.

What did you do with your last eight weeks?
