A quick look at last year's circulation statistics as we begin the new school year. First, we increased our overall circulation statistics by 5,000!
Graphic novels continued to claim top spots, both because of the quality of the resource and the speed of turnover.
The top five borrowers were from the same classroom, which supports the idea that readers encourage other readers.
I need to reflect more on why there was such a discrepancy in borrowing statistics by classroom.
The "500s" or natural sciences continue to dominate the Dewey.
The largest circulation area is the fiction neighborhood.
BUT, the picture books are a VERY close second!
I am looking forward to seeing how we can improve upon these stats this year.
